Now's your chance to tell everyone your opinion. Write down some comments or gripes(?) on previous issues, the GS computer, the industry in general, or your pet peeves (or pets for that matter). We'll compile them and bring them to you via this column.
A hearty thank you for the Dark Designs I patch. I finished beating the game the same day I received the patch in the mail. Dark Designs was truly a fun game so I have been eagerly awaiting DD II. The simplicity of the game and its flexiblity is fascinating. It also seems to lend itself to the possibility of a construction set. (i.e. build your own adventure) Looking forward to my next issue and many more afterwards.
Parashooter will not work. All I get is a score error 004E. What's the problem?

We goofed on that one. This will only happen on one drive systems. Parashooter is looking for the system disk to do something with the resource fork and dies when the system disk cannot be found.
Call 1-800-831-2694 and ask for a replacement disk. We have solved the problem and promise not to let this type of thing get by us again.
I am unable to reconfigure Omni.Screen init from issue 11. I press the open-apple and shift keys, but nothing happens.

This will happen if you don't hold the keys down at the same time or release them too quickly. Just press them and wait a second or two--Omni.Screen will kick in.
I have been a Softdisk G-S customer since the very first issue. Each month I look forward to receiving my issue even though at this time I can't use over half of it. My wife tells me I'm crazy.
Could I get an answer to the following question? During the disk swapping period, is it possible to put whichever disk the Softdisk G-S is looking for on a 5.25" disk? I'm aware that a 5.25" disk only holds 140k. If this is possible, I'm sure you have thousands of customers who would love to know what files to put on the 5.25" disk.
Keep the great disks coming our way, long live the Apple II!

Dear Roy,
Sorry but it would be impossible to do what you ask. A 5.25" disk just does not have the room to store the GS/OS files.
On Softdisk G-S #11 we asked for your input on the question of putting AppleWorks 3.0 templates on the GS disk. So far the no's are winning. We do what our public demands and right now it looks like they are demanding GS material! Here are some of the side comments you made:
No. There are many other sources that can be found to supply 3.0
templates. We want GS material.
Yes. I do not have AWGS.
No. AppleWorks 3.0 templates are on the 8 bit version of Softdisk. If I
wanted to run IIe software I would have bought a IIe!
Yes. But only if they are outstanding.
No. If I want AppleWorks 8 bit templates I'll buy Softdisk 8 bit!
